Donating Blankets in a tribal village

After a long break due to the Corona Pandemic, we started our social activity programs again for the society with a good note. This time, we thought of donating some warm clothes to some needy people based outskirts of the city. We started early morning, around 8 am on this cozy winter morning. We took help from Chandaka Police station to locate this tribal village. We were fortunate to get the company of 6 police officers to be with us and being a part of this noble cause.

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed our life with an immediate effect. There is a vast difference between life before six months and now. Many people have lost their lives and jobs, with no certainty when this new normal will become a thing of the past. In these self-quarantining times, the real heroes are the doctors, police personnel, municipality employees who are exposed to this threat every day, and working day and night for the social well-being.

Corona Pandemic has adversely affected all our lives and the daily wage earners, people living below the line of poverty are worst hit. Muvi Foundation has been dedicatedly contributing towards society whenever and wherever there is a need. This is a time, we stand in solidarity with efforts made by our government, NGOs and many social workers worldwide. Without any donations or funding, Muvi Foundation has been continuously serving the mankind during this difficult hour. It is solely run on the fund from Muvi, software product development company in Bhubaneswar.

Fight Against COVID-19

Muvi Foundation has donated Rs 1 lakhs towards the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

Blood Donation Camp

We organized a Blood Donation Camp at our office premises in collaboration with Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar. On our request, Capital hospital facilitated us with their blood collection bus. Muvians volunteered for this noble cause and participated in high numbers making the event a grand success.

Muvi Marathon 2020

January 20, 2020

Muvi Foundation started the year 2020 with Muvi Marathon organized in the lush green forests of Chandaka. Chandaka Sanctuary is known for its splendor and pristinely home to many species, particularly elephants. Spread over an area of 193.39 Sq.Km on the up land of North-Eastern Ghats of biotic region, Chandaka sanctuary is a treasure house of biodiversity. The park is known for successful conservation of elephants which is the principal species here. It is also a home to several threatened wild animals and birds.

Plantation Program – 10^th August 2019

Cyclones are very common in Odisha. We are on an average hit by 2 cyclones annually. The last names Cyclone Fani caused us great loss. We were geographically hit at one of the populated districts of Odisha -Puri, famous for Lord Jagannatha Temple. We lost many souls (humans, animals, birds and trees). Cyclone Fani was a great set back for us, financially, economically, and socially. Huge number of trees were uprooted, broken and destroyed. The city looked mundane, devastated and lost.

Orphanage Visit

Muvi Foundation, as part of its CSR initiatives, visited Jeevan Jyoti Ashram, a Khandagiri-based orphanage. This orphanage is home to many orphaned and rescued kids from the darker side of our society. It gave us immense pleasure for being able to bring a smile on these children face. There are around 140 kids from 3 years of age to 15 years of age.

Plantation Drive : Sikharchandi Slum

It is said that the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, and the second-best time is now! – Muvi Foundation held a massive tree plantation drive on 18th August 2018 in the slums of Sikharchandi Nagar. Around 200+ saplings were planted along side the boundary of a local school in the slum.
